We adopted this sweet 4 year-old pug/shepherd mix (i.e. mutt) from an outfit that rescued her from the county pound. They gassed her 4 puppies and she was next.
We are so lucky to have her. She's obedient, extremely affectionate, laid back and sickingly cute. Her dog farts practically smell like fresh-baked cookies, although I'm sure that will change once our honeymoon period is over. I can't wait to introduce her to a certain rubber chicken that should be arriving in the mail any second. *ahem*
Apparently, taking her on walks has boosted the weight loss. Scale said 152.6 this morning, down 1.8 pounds from last week. Cool.
So sad about Goji's puppies. She has 'old soul' eyes. Congrats on both saving Goji's life by giving her a loving home and your weight loss. If I was eating a pomegranate right now and could share it with you, I totally would.
ReplyDeleteShe's so friggin cute! Love her! Great job on the loss too!
ReplyDeleteHigh 5 on rescuing your new pup! Shes a cutie! :) Great job on the loss this week! :)
ReplyDeletedon't kill chuck pls!
ReplyDeleteChuck will not be harmed in the filming of its adventure in Ohiya.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet girl! I can't believe they killed her pups, though. Around here, puppies are the last to be killed at our shelter.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the bunny? Has Goji scared her off?
YAY!!! I love it when people adopt instead of buy dogs.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy her unconditional love!
Good job on the loss!
I'm in love - with your pooch, I mean. So sad about her pups. We have a shelter dog too but luckily it was a no-kill shelter. His farts, however, could melt the rust off an 18-wheeler. He's on the EPA's superfund clean-up list.
ReplyDeleteGreat news on the loss. Sounds like it's been a good day all around. Keep up the good work.
Oh what a cutie pie :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you.
ReplyDeleteGreat workout buddy for you. :)
ReplyDeleteLook at that face, those eyes! You never had a chance, did you?
ReplyDeleteObedient? Pleasant smelling dog farts? I think there must be a second mutt somewhere in the house that I haven't met yet.
ReplyDeleteAs my wife said when she first met me: "What a handsome beast!"
ReplyDeleteomg he is so cute! Congrats on the weight loss. I wish we lived close Mocha could have a playmate.
ReplyDeleteKristi, I was totally thinking about Mocha as a potential play partner the first day we got her!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable dog! It’s so sad about her puppies, but wonderful that she’s now in a loving new family. :-) Um…not too sure about those cookie-smelling dog farts though. LOL
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 1.8-pound loss!

Aw-zee-widdle-furrwy-puppy-what-a-sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteSorry. Tell to slip into that dialect when I see a beautiful puppy. (My dog's 12, and I still consider her a puppy.)
I once saw a dog who was described as a German Shepherd/Chihuahua mix. My first thought was "... how? I mean, how?" but the dog was very cute.
What a cutie!!
ReplyDeleteWow! We adopted our dog last May, he looks identical to Goji. I would say they are related but our dog, Jackson, is about 1 1/2 to 2 years old. Shepherd/pug mixes make great dogs!
